Splash and Swim provide swimming lessons to children from the age of 3 ½ years upwards. Lessons are currently held at Woodlawn School in Monkseaton, Whitley Bay and we have recently started lessons at the Beacon Hill School in Wallsend.
Each lesson lasts 30 minutes and is usually in a group format. The children are grouped according to similar age and ability and there are approximately 5/6 children in each class to facilitate progression and development of their water based skills.

Lessons taught by Splash and Swim follow the National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS). This is a programme that has been devised by the National Governing Body for swimming, the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA), to provide swimmers with a multi-aquatic, multi-skill programme. As each child completes each stage of the programme they will have an opportunity to receive an award and certificate to show their progress.
